Join me for a special opportunity to learn more about Afro Brazilian history. I will take you through the historical streets, where you can see the buildings and meet the local characters. You will gain an understanding of how Little Africa was born and the contribution of African heritage to Brazilian culture. We will visit Pedra do Sal, an important heritage site for Samba, and Cais do Valongo, today a recognized world heritage site, where enslaved Africans first stepped foot in Brazil. You will have the opportunity to understand how the samba was born, candomblé and the culture of resistance around quilombo communities.

- We are going to visit the Little Africa region and historical buildings and heritage site as Pedra do Sal and the Valongo Wharf
- Praça Mauá- Rio's port area
- Largo da Prainha- Afro Brazilian cultural heritage
- Pedra do Sal- Heritage Site for the samba
- Valongo Wharf- The Unesco World Heritage Site where enslaved Africans first stepped foot in Brazil
