Hello I’m MaricelaI speak: English, Italiano, Français, Spanish
About me
My name is Maricela, I was born in Mexico City and have lived here most of my life. Since childhood I spontaneously drawn to people who came from other countries and spoke other languages, and started to assist and guide travelers that I came across in the city or in other destinations in the country during my own travels. Inspired by the fascination that I felt for the cultural diversity in the world and in my country I studied a degree in Anthropology in Mexico City, and after graduating I moved to the south of France to carry out postgraduate studies in Archaeology and Art History. When I came back to Mexico I also got certified as a professional Tourist Guide. The opportunity to live abroad and travel through Europe, Asia and Africa, made me recognize even more the particularities of my country and appreciate them more than ever, as if the richness of Mexican Culture was revealed to me when recalling it from each new country I visited. I have over 12 years of experience working as a Cultural Heritage Travel Guide in Mexico City both in English and French for individuals, families and groups from around the world, for national and international Cultural & Academic Institutions, Embassies, Travel Agencies, among others. I also have experience guiding cultural circuits from Mexico City covering the states of Mexico, Morelos, Puebla, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Yucatan and Quintana Roo. I really enjoy serving people and sharing with them what I know about Mexican Culture. My main goal and reward is that your trip to Mexico is unique, fun, enriching and unforgettable… the same quality of trip that I would love to experience myself. On each tour me and my clients come to create a unique experience, as if we were friends traveling together...
