About me

I am Adriana, CEO and co funder of Beyond Roots, a venture focus on promoting Afro Cuban culture from different perspectives. I am an educator by profession, really passionate about entrepreneurship and I have a deep connection with my African heritage. Growing up in Guanabacoa, one of the strongest exponents of this culture, I was raised under the living legacy of our African ancestors. Now I have an authentic passion for educating people about this misunderstood topic. I aim to share with you the feeling of our community, transmit you a knowledge that has been passed from generations and show you its influence in the daily life of the Cubans from different perspectives.
