The majority of things to do on Blackvoyageurs accept both mobile and printed vouchers. However, we recommend checking the ‘Booking Information’ section for confirmation.
If you've already made a purchase, you can double-check the ticket type on your booking confirmation.

Lost booking confirmation
Log in to your Blackvoyageurs account on our website to view your booking summary, which will include your booking confirmation.
Please bear in mind if you're booking several months in advance that some attractions only confirm bookings closer to the date. You can see if your booking uses this policy by checking the 'Know before you go section.
Booking modification
Please contact the local partner directly if you need to update participant information. You'll find their contact details on your voucher.
Why do I have to provide extra information?
We provide the local partner with relevant information of guests (name, email, phone number…). However certain bookings, require you to provide the local partner with information before you arrive. This may include dietary needs, age, or a hotel address.

Swapping bookings or changing experience options (e.g., adding an audio guide or skip the line access) is only possible by canceling and rebooking.
Before starting this process, please check that your current booking can be canceled. You'll find this information in your booking confirmation.
You can change the date and/or time of your booking by contact us via the contact form. Just let us know the experience you wish to reschedule from your booking list. In case of last minutes change, please liaise with the experience host.
Please note that not all bookings can be rescheduled. See your voucher and terms and conditions of the experience for more information.
To add or remove participants, either cancel and rebook with the correct number of people or make a new booking for the additional participants (subject to availability). We're unable to add or remove participants to an existing booking for you. Please check that your chosen experience is available for the new amount of people.

Payment and refunds
Refunds can take 3-4 business days to appear in your account. However, some credit card companies have different processing times.

Blackvoyageurs has an option to display prices in a range of currencies. Nevertheless, payment is always done in your preferred currency if it is available. In some rare cases, your bank might charge you a conversion rate fee from you local currency if it is not available at the time of payment. We might also charge a small fee if your payment method is not supported in our system or requires extra charges.
If the payment was declined, please check the message indicating why it was declined and try again. It could be insufficient funds in your bank account or the credentials are not filled incorrectly.
We offer the following payment methods: Paypal or Credit Card. Please note that we accept the credit card from Maestro, Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
The price is set by the host directly and we do charge a commission for the service rendered. In some occassions, we may charge a fee based on the type of experience which will come on top of the experience price (Concerts are a good example).
Please double check that you've entered your details correctly and try again.
If your purchase still can't be completed, please try a different payment method or contact your bank.

Yes, our online payment system is secure. In fact it encrypts your payment information to protect you against fraud and unauthorized transactions.
Blackvoyageurs uses internationally recognized and secure payment systems to process your credit card transactions. To maintain your security, do not send payments directly to the private experience guide outside of our secure site.

Your credit card or PayPal account will be charged once you book. However, if the local organizer does not accept your booking, the amount will be credited to the original account it was taken from.
The Blackvoyageurs payment plan offers you the best and most convenient way of making sure that you can get to exciting group trips and festivals. Please note that the payment plan is only available for selected experiences. You can find more details directly on the experience page. Using payment plan, you can spread the cost of your booking over a number of months, making it easier and affordable to manage your budget.
When you visit the experience page that you’re interested in booking, you will be presented with the full purchase price of the item you’ve selected, and also the payment plan price*, and what you will pay today.
*Payment plan is not active on all experiences, and is only applicable on case by case basis.
Once you’ve selected your items and added them to your basket, proceed to the checkout page and complete your details as normal. When selecting the method of payment, you will be presented with an option to choose payment plan.
When selected, you will then be able to view a breakdown of the scheduled payments, the dates on when they will occur, as well as the amounts for each transaction.
After selecting the payment plan option, simply enter your payment card details as normal, and complete the transaction. You will then be directed to the booking confirmation page, providing you with your new booking reference number.
You will also receive a booking confirmation email, which will provide you with a summary of what you’d paid, and the payment schedule for the remaining instalments.
After receiving the booking confirmation email, you will also be able to access your Blackvoyageurs account, and view your booking details, including the receipt of the transaction (which is a downloadable pdf document), and also the payment plan summary and schedule.
Once a scheduled payment is completed successfully, a confirmation email will be sent to let you know that it’s taken place, and updating the payment plan schedule.
After completing all the scheduled payments, you will receive a final email confirming that all the payments have been successful, and then information on how your tickets and travel documents will be delivered.
Remember, the payment plan is an automatic service, and after entering your credit/debit card details to complete the first payment of the instalment, then you don’t need to worry about making the payment for the next scheduled payments. Just ensure that you have the necessary funds available to complete the next payments, or that your card hasn’t expired.

After successfully setting up the payment plan, and completing the first instalment, sometimes for various reasons, the next scheduled payment may not complete and fail (insufficient funds, card declined by the bank, card expired). If such an event happens, then following process will begin to help get it resolved:
- If a payment attempt has failed, the guest will receive a Failed Payment notice, advising that we will try again in 3 days.
- After 3 days, the payment attempt fails again, you will receive a second Failed Payment notice, advising that we will try another payment attempt in another 3 days.
- On the third payment attempt, if the payment fails again, then you will receive a third Failed Payment notice, advising that 3 attempts have been made to complete the payment, and as they have failed, the booking will be cancelled.
Throughout the failed payment notices that they receive, we advise and give them the opportunity to update the card payment details.
We do apply a small fee for the majority of bookings made, including those using Payment Plan as the method of payment.
All fees are used to cover the cost of setting up and managing the payment plan, as well as the marketing, promotion, distribution and many other costs involved in offering packages to some of the best group trips and most exciting travel experiences.
All booking fee totals are made clearly visible before completing payment, to ensure that you are aware of the total cost before committing to a booking.
At Blackvoyageurs we offer various experiences from across the globe to choose from and we work with a wide variety of hosts and experiences organisers to bring the best possible experiences.
As a result of this, we have also many different agreements with our partners, and sometimes it may not be possible to offer the payment plan as a method of payment.
Our Payment Plan will only be available as an option at checkout if all products in your basket are eligible. If you wish to purchase items using the Payment Plan, please ensure all products are eligible before continuing to checkout.
To know which products are eligible to payment plans, please look out for alerts on our experience pages.
If you have changed banks, or if you payment card has expired, but you’ve already registered your card for the payment plan, then not to worry, we provide you with the opportunity to update you card details securely from your Blackvoyageurs online account and booking page.
When you login to your Blackvoyageurs account, and view your booking, you will be presented with the payment plan scheduled and the successful and incomplete payments listed.
To update your card details to a new debit/credit card, simply click on the Update Card Details button, and submit your new card number, expiry date and CVC number as shown below.
Once you’ve updated your card details, the card is saved immediately and will be applied to the next scheduled payment.
If one of your scheduled payments had failed, and you’ve updated your card details, the payment will be taken on the next attempt of the failed payment procedure.

The Blackvoyageurs payment plan cannot be paid in full earlier than the scheduled payments outlined.
As the name suggests, the payment plan is designed to offer the ultimate flexibility in spreading the cost of your booking over a number of instalments, that will allow for easier management of your budget.
All payments are automatically debited from the payment card entered at the point of completing the booking, and cannot be paid in full.
To make a booking and pay in full the total amount, you will need to choose one of the other payment methods offered instead of the payment plan.
Cancellation
If the local partner cancels your booking, please contact us via the form below to receive a full refund.

Your booking will either be fully refundable, partially refundable or non-refundable depending on the local partner's policy.
All cancelable bookings will display a deadline for cancellation on the voucher.
If you wish to change the starting time or date of the confirmed booking, please contact your host directly here and simply agree on a new date and time together.

Blackvoyageurs promotes sustainable travel wherever possible. This means choosing walking as the main method of transportation. We promote online experiences and for our in-persons experiences will minimize the use of taxis and cars. However, please keep in mind that some destinations offer a limited number of alternatives, therefore we’ll do our best to limit the use of cars to the minimum.
As a guest in a city you can contribute by walking, moving around by bike or using public transport where possible. For the best ways to move around the city, just ask your local host for advice!
